Nothing quite looks like trouble as much as a nice black Merc (ALWAYS black), but old Jags (also black) are pretty close behind. Whenever the movies have the bad guy in a BMW I'm never quite convinced.

That is, of course, until midway during the chase, the Lucas electrics fail.
But yeah. Looks badass in black!

Yeah definite, and being a Brit I know better than to trust our cars when you really need them - but maybe some of the more deranged felons might like the added risk/thrill of the car packing up during the getaway...

Reminds me of a conversation i had here about electric cars and chases a while back. The cops being in Nissan leafs having to choose whether to use sirens OR having enough charge to keep chasing.

If they're in a Leaf, there is no chase.

True of most XJs. In any other colour they're just a pretty, if eccentric, luxobarge. But in black - nothing says "Sophisticated but dangerous" like a black XJ.
Ride of choice of Hannibal Lecter and Keyser Soze.

Don't rule out them chasing a G-wizz in this alternate universe! ;) Though that would be the equivalent of a foot chase.

Yeah, may as well bust a pogo stick over a G-Wizz. Used to see one of these Axiams parked near me (max speed 30mph), I guess the cops would never think you were up to anything in that thing.

Best. Undercover.Getaway.Vehicle. Ever.
The Italian job would have been a completely different movie.

Oops, pic:
It really is ludicrously small. I wouldn't wanna get away from anything other than the car itself. Funniest thing is they replaced it with another Axiam that looked like an RC 4x4, can't find a pic of that particular one though.
